Prof. Dr. Wernhard Möschel is one of the leading European experts in antitrust and economics. He was Chairman of the German Monopolies Commission. He was member of the German Government Committee on Telecommunications, member of the German Chancellor’s Advisory Board on Research, Technology and Innovation, and member of the German Parliament’s Enquete Commission on New Media.
He was a member of the Kronberg Circle and a member of the Academic Advisory Council at the Federal Ministry of Economics. He received the Engineering Award of the German Engineering Federation, the Ludwig Erhard Prize for Economic Journalism, and the Friedrich August von Hayek Medal of the F. A. von Hayek Society.
Prof. Möschel holds a PhD in law and is Professor for Civil Law, Trade and Economic Law, European Law and Comparative Law at the University of Tuebingen, Germany, and was a Visiting Professor at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C. He has a focus on Competition Law, Law of Economic Order and Banking Law.
