Amaia Garcés de los Fayos Alonso has a background in international affairs and European politics. She serves Alber & Geiger’s clients across several policy areas by tracking, researching and providing analysis on issues ranging from international affairs and European external relations to environment policies and healthcare.
Before joining Alber & Geiger, Amaia acquired experience at the European Parliament Research Service, where she worked on European external relations, namely Western Balkans’ enlargement process and the United Nation’s reform agenda. Earlier, she worked as Managing Director the University College Utrecht journal and volunteered at a non-profit organization in Zambia.
Amaia earned her BA in Political Science and Anthropology from the University College Utrecht and her MA in International Relations, with a particular specialization in environmental policy and security studies, from the University of Amsterdam.
